Emergency Pet Care in Havelock, NC
The Emergency Pet Hospital is designed to provide critical care for sick and injured pets when your regular veterinarian is not available. When bringing in your pet for emergency care, if possible, please give us a call at (252) 444-1399 so that we may be fully prepared to take care of your pet upon arrival.
What To Expect
Upon entering the hospital, you and your pet will be greeted by one of our veterinary technicians or assistants and they will inform the veterinarian of your arrival. If your pet’s condition is critical and requires immediate attention, we will take him or her to the treatment area for the veterinarian to examine and stablize. If your pet’s condition is NOT critical, you and your pet will remain in the waiting area until an exam room becomes available.
Once in an exam room, we will obtain vitals (temperature, weight, heart rate, respiratory rate, etc.) and your pet’s medical history. The veterinarian will then assess your pet and discuss the best treatment plan taylored to meet your pet’s needs.
If your pet requires hospitalization with us, he or she will receive constant monitoring from our medical team of veterinarians, technicians and assistants throughout the night. Please feel free to give us a call at (252) 444-1399 to inquire about your pet’s status. We understand how stressful a pet emergency situation can be and we are more than happy to update you on how your pet is doing.
